This competition is promoted by Mattel UK Limited (‘Promoter’) with a principal place of business at 3rd Floor, The Porter Building, 1 Brunel Way, Slough, Berkshire SL1 1FQ.

  1. The title of the competition is Hot Wheels™ Legends Tour 2022.
  2. The Promoter reserves the right to discontinue this competition at any time, without liability or penalty.
  3. The competition will run from 23:59 GMT on 20th June 2022 (‘Opening Date’) to 23:59 GMT on 31 August 2022 (‘Closing Date’). All entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
  4. ENTRY TO THE COMPETITION: Participants can enter the competition by creating an online account and submitting the online entry form provided on The call-to-action for an Online Event will require potential entrants to create the following video featuring a custom vehicle you own, with the following segments:
    • i) Include a ‘walkaround’ segment (up to two (2) minutes in length) featuring your custom vehicle (film it horizontal in landscape) (and do not add a music soundtrack); and
    • ii) Include a ‘beauty’ segment (up to two (2) minutes in length) featuring your custom vehicle (film it horizontal in landscape) (and do not add a music soundtrack) (you should show the entire vehicle in frame at least one (1) time when shooting this segment).
    • iii) Please ensure you combine both segments outlined above into one (1) long-form video file (collectively, an “Online Event Submission”) and upload it to the Contest Website with the title: “Hot Wheels Legends Tour Entry.” . All entries must showcase the car and identify why the vehicle is worthy of being replicated into a one of a kind Hot Wheels® die cast car. No purchase necessary.
  5. After submitting an application on the Contest Website, promoter will confirm whether you have been selected to bring your custom vehicle to the Live UK Event to compete in the competition taking place at the Live Event on the 1st October 2022. The Promoter will contact the winner in the week commencing 12th September 2022 using the email address provided with the compeititon entry. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the entrant. If the entrant does not acknowledge receipt of the email within seven (7) days, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date. If you receive a notice from promoter that you have been selected to participate in the Live Event, you will be required to drive or otherwise transport your custom vehicle to be displayed at the Live Event Location during the load-in time (and/or as otherwise instructed by promoter in the Live Event invitation you receive). The location of the live event will be communicated to participants upon contact. Individuals who are selected to compete at a Live Event will need to leave their custom vehicle on display throughout the entirety of the Live Event so that the Judges can review and judge your vehicle’s customisation(s). Individuals who participate at a Live Event will solely be responsible for all costs and expenses for attending a Live Event and transporting their vehicle to and from the Live Event Location. If promoter is unable to hold a Live Event, the Live Event may be canceled, rescheduled or replaced by an Online Event, at promoters sole discretion. By attending this event you agree to appear in the Video and/or Photography and your voice, name, image and vehicle will be recorded. You hereby freely and without restraint consent to and give unto the promoter (Mattel, Hot Wheels, Car Throttle, Autovia LTD) and its agents or assigns or anyone authorised by the promoter, the unrestrained right in perpetuity to own, utilise, or alter the Released Subject Matter, in any manner the Releasees may see fit and for any purpose whatsoever, all of the foregoing to be without limitation of any kind.
  6. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If a dispute arises regarding the identity of a submission, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the authorised account holder at time of entry.   7. The Promoter will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the compeititon.
  8. JUDGES: The competition entries will be judged by a panel of judges. The decision of the panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final.
  9. JUDGING CRITERIA: Determining the Winner of the Contest. During the event each custom vehicle on display at the Live Event or the Online Event will be reviewed by a team of judges (the “Judges”) assembled by the promoter or any of the participating third party sponsors for the applicable Live Event or Online Event, who will review and judge all eligible custom vehicles at the Live Event or the Online Event based on the following judging criteria (collectively, the “Judging Criteria”), with the exact date, time and distribution platform for the Judges to review all eligible Submissions for an Online Event to be announced on the Contest Website:
    • A. The Hot Wheels® Story Behind Your Build: 20%;
    • B. Design: 20%;
    • C. Authenticity: 20%;
    • D. Garage Spirit: 20%; and
    • E. Performance & Fun: 20%
    Based on the total score the Judges assign to each Submission using the Judging Criteria: one (1) winning custom vehicle will be ultimately selected by the Judges at each Live Event and at each Online Event (as the case may be) as a potential “Semi-Finalist”, subject to confirmation that the potential Semi-Finalist has met the eligibility requirements and complied with these Official Rules. If there is a tie after the Judges apply the Judging Criteria, Sponsor will bring in a tie breaking Judge to apply the same Judging Criteria to break the tie and determine the Semi-Finalists. There will be one (1) Semi-Finalist selected from the Event (unless otherwise announced on the Contest Website). Promoter reserves the right to revise or change number of Semi-Finalists at each Event by posting updated information on the Contest Website.
  10. ELIGIBILITY: The competition is open to all residents in the United Kingdom (aged 18 years or over), except: (i) employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies; (ii) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or (iii) members of the immediate families or housholds of either (i) or (i). The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are: automatically generated by a computer; completed by third parties in bulk; illegible; have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; copies and not originals; or incomplete.There is a limit of entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
  11. PRIZE: The winning design from the Global Finals will be turned into a 1:64 Hot Wheels® die-cast car. Please note the UK competition does not grant an automatic right to the prize. The winner of the UK competition will proceed to the Global Semi-Finals which will take place on a date to be announced and will be posted on the Contest Website. If successful at the Global Semi-Finals, participants will have a chance to proceed to the Global Finals, taking place on 12 November 2022. Please note the winner’s entrance to the Global Semi-Finals and Global Finals are subject to your agreement of the Global Semi-Finals T’s and C’s and Final T’s and C’s. A copy of these terms will be issued to you if you successfully make it to the next round.
  12. Winners: The Promoter (or 3rd parties on behalf of the Promoter) will contact the winner in the week commencing 10th October 2022 using the email address provided with the compeititon entry. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner does not acknowledge receipt of the email within seven (7) days, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date. The winner will be provided instructions of how to enter the Global Semi-Finals.
  13. Conditions: The Promoter may change these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will be posted on Promoter’s website ( and will take immediate effect. An entrant’s continued participation in the Promotion will constitute their acceptance of any such changes.   14. The Promoter is not responsible for any error in the offering or the announcement of any prizes or in the administration of the promotion. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the competition, the decision of The Promoter shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
  15. Participants agree to release and hold harmless the Promoter (and any affiliated party to these terms) from any and all actions and/or liabilities for any claim, cost, expense, damage or loss which may be incurred arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize, prize related activity, or participation in this competition.
  16. PRIVACY: As a condition of entering and participating in the competition and any time Participant provides its information to Promoter, Participant agrees and gives consent to the collection, processing, storage, transfer, and sharing (i.e., by way of example only, with judges, with administrators, with Promoter’s parent company and its affiliates, and with third-party partners, service providers, etc.), of Participant’s information, for the purpose of administering and promoting this competition and processing the prize (i.e., communicate with entrant, process entrant’s submission, create winner’s list, etc. all in relation to and in the context of the competition) as described in these official rules and to comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations including without limitation UK Data Protection Act (also known as the Data Protection Act of 2018). Where required by such applicable laws, Promoter will deploy appropriate notices and functionality to obtain authorisations and consents as required. Personal data (also known as personal information or personally identifiable information) collected may be used by Promoter as described in these official rules including to verify an entrant’s identity, eligibility, postal address, and telephone number to administer and promote the competition such as in the event they are deemed a potential prize winner. Participant’s information may also be transferred to countries outside of your jurisdiction of residence, including the United States. Such other countries may not have privacy laws and regulations that provide the same level of protection to those that exist in the United Kingdom. By providing any data in connection with the competition, entrants hereby expressly consent to such transfers of your data to the United States or other countries. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to Promoter to use the winner’s name and likenesses for promotional purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law as more fully described below. Except as otherwise provided herein for the use of certain winner information, personal data collected from each entrant will only be used by Promoter for the purposes administering and promoting the competition as described in these Terms and Conditions.   17. PUBLICITY AND USE: All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt and will not be returned. By submitting a competition entry and any accompanying material, participants agree to assign to the Promoter all intellectual property rights with full title guarantee and waive all moral rights, in and to the competition entry, and otherwise arising in connection with the entry to which participant may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world). Participant agree that the Promoter may, but is not required to, make the entry available on its website and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. Participant agrees to grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrecovable license, for the full period of any intellectual property rights (and any accompanying materials to include, but not limited to, personal data) submitted in the competition entry to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, print, distribute, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry (and any accompanying materials) for such purposes.
  18. Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter for any third party claims made either during the competition or in the future in relation to the exploitation or use of any content or materials submitted in relation to this competition.
  19. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
